The informal sector is the bedrock of the Swazi economy.

In this Fashact project, we sought to highlight women’s different hustles, with a view to demonstrate the glory of the informal sector, the work of women, and how they contribute to our communities and development. Moreover, it is a quest to reintroduce the women in the informal sector into public and political discourse, to find out from them, how we can be of assistance.

The Fashact project found such a warm place in the hearts of Shaka Makhanya (Photography), and Temkhosi Mthethwa (Kokojobe - makeup), who are both talented beyond words. None of this would have been possible without them. Thank you.

Find these phenomenal women’s full stories in the Blog tab.

Oh, ‘FashAct’ is Fashion + Activism. Whatever you are into, ask yourself, ‘How can I serve my community through this’…then BECOME!!!
