Back before we Became, we were ‘Nini Kriationz’.
It was a unique name that symbolised being born, being new, and awaiting the future.
In the thick of Covid, Nini Kriationz was contracted at Vestland Danseteater by Simba Arts, to construct contemporary dance costumes for their Ban2 Online Festival 2020.
It was one of the biggest projects that helped us to believe even more.
Here you will find the different materials that we employed for the undertaking. In all, it was a DREAM!!!
The choice of materials depended on breathability, and cultural ambiguity. Generally a bland palette, and pops of bright oranges.
We used a Phthalo green, 100% rough linen fabric to construct a tattered top. We went for the rugged look.
This dark brown 100% rough linen matched the green. We made sling pants.
Brown faux leather was used for trimmings.
This checkered, fine linen print was one of our favourite.
